Shadow 2 accuracy?
« on: December 17, 2022, 12:17:16 PM »
 I'm a Glock shooter now.
What kind of accuracy can a Shadow 2 get at 25 yards? 50?
Another shooter let me try his Shadow at an indoor steel plate competition and loved it.

The test target I received with my Accushadow 2 had 5 shots touching at 25 meters.

Mine as well.  Off hand I have no trouble at keeping all shots in 10 ring at 25, at 50 I am the problem at I can still get 8 ring or better. Old eyes and poor trigger control are my issues, not the gun or ammo.

If you can find a store that has a standard Shadow 2 (black and blue) in stock the test target should be included so you could look at it.  Most likely it will have a little larger grouping, but not by much.

Minute of A-zone when shooting fast.

Off a rest I can usually hold 2” @ 25 yds with a black/blue with a DIY trigger job.

I expect my competition guns to hold a sub 3 inch group at 25 yds freestyle (not rested).   I just mounted an optic on my new/used accushadow 2, I have yet to formally zero it and shoot groups.  I expect it will be capable.

Cheers,
Toby

For those who reload, we have done a lot of bullet and powder testing on the Ammo & Handloading sub-forum here. Here's a 15yd (45 ft) target from a couple of years ago using a stock SP01 Tac. Stock trigger, stock sights, etc.

On a TQ2 NRA target, the black circle (the 6 ring) measures 2.3" (58.4mm). Gun was supported under the mag by a sand bag. That's it. The flyer at 3 o'clock is definitely me. I'm 72.
