Looking for your guys input on this vid ^^^ Here a a couple of interesting points I though were made or should be considered:
I am really excited about shooting limited optics with my SP-01 RG. When the comp spun off I just shoot open minor now that gun would be perfect for limited optics.

They talk about dropping the PF to a safer level and even just flat out removing the Major PF requirement because the open guys will just run it anyway. If the lower the PF to a point that 30SC could run, we could have a whole another caliber race (more 30SC rounds fit in a mag than a 9mm). If CZ would make a steel framed 30SC I would by it. or just make a 30SC drop in barrel. Boom, they would own the game again.

Also, toward the end of the video there is talk bout the slide comp : spectre compensator on the sig.
I've been out of shooting for the past year but that looks cool and I have slide cut ideas already for my CZ.

Lastly I was rolling on the floor when one of the guys said that the S2 basically killed production because it was so advanced with all the mods and still a "production" gun. That led to "if he can have a mag catch in prod why can't I"? My immediate answer was "Because your company don't give a s*!t about entry level racegunners. Too bad so sad go buy a CZ haha!!!". I can't wait to shoot against all the production shooters this year if they change it. As a tinkerer, I understand production but I just can't stand shooting prod guns. I like heavy steel hammer fired guns and I don't see that changing but look forward to the competition.

I mainly go to run my mods. My personal scoring is "YAY - No Jams" (IDC about the targets that much..)

I am going to sit back and watch and see what happens before getting excited about building a new gun.  For 2023, think I will keep running a P10F in Carry Optics.

I think they have made LO a slide cut only div as opposed to a frame mounted dot. That kinda drains my sails but I understand the reasoning.
Have a good season.

I'm thinking I'm not alone in this,  but really toying with the idea on getting my tso milled for limited optics.  Made the mistake of getting it in 9 before I started getting into uspsa. With the prodigy ds and the sig 320 max (with factory magwell in place) in the wild this division does seem to make sense for them.

I intended to take my s2 into co this upcoming season and i will regardless of what happens with limited optics.  Limited optics gives the magwell as the primary benefit, i guess.  Sao isn't that enticing for me with the s2 SA trigger very close in weight to my tso and the initial DA pull being around 5#.

My eyes aren't getting any younger and getting the front sight in focus with my glasses on gets harder and harder.  Dot helps me there quite a bit.  I may be done with iron sights at this point.

So far almost no takers in Limited Optics for the Ohio South Section match and Area 5

Most of the enthusiasm for this over on Benos seems to come from the C class for life duffers who think this will be the ticket to class wins.

I'm shooting and working the NAZC in prescott in May so I will be able to see how many folks run LO.  I don't expect many right away as folks will need to build the rigs and right now that takes time getting anything.  I imagine by this time next year it will canibalize a bit of CO and limited divisions.

I just build my CO rig and will stick with CO till I get classified and have a season under my belt.  I could easily switch my Accu2 and run limited optics.

Cheers,
Toby

I plan to run my SP-01s in LO so I don't have to hammer-down on start.

Never say never because crow tastes bad, but at this time I don’t see myself shooting Limited Optics since all my guns fit in CO division just fine.

Finally was able to get one of these sights from the LGS. I bought my slide used with the plate installed. It dropped right on. there is a slight gap between the sight and the chamber but I really don't care. It if runs I will run it! I expect no issues. I will most likely use the 32 MOA and dot combo for groups and bowling pins/indoor steel. For USPSA I think the 20MOA ring with no dot might be good. More testing soon. Pics and more info here:

I put one on my SP-01 Bull Shadow and used the 20 MOA ring and the dot last Sat.  Worked great.

If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

I had ot modify my holster to accommodate the wider optic but it was 2 minutes with a heat gun.
