P07 parts questions
« on: February 13, 2023, 03:02:03 PM »
Cajun gun works has it listed but not in stock. I have begun carrying the p07 much to the dismay of my H&K p2000 and decided I may not want to live with the lanyard loop. Anyone have a source for the flush fit main spring plug?

Second question is regarding the firing pin retainer pin. I think I understood through my reading that this is a weak spot. Is a more stout option available .. do I need one or am I just worried about stuff that doesnt need worrying about?

The replacements from CGW or CZ Custom should be stronger.

As for the lanyard loop, isn't it plastic?  You could remove it, cut it off and sand the bottom smooth enough to suit you.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

If we were closer I'd swap plugs with you. I'm in Ohio. My P-07 has the flush fit plug and I personally prefer the lanyard type. As to the firing pin retainer yes the CGW part is stronger but if you dry fire practice just be sure to use a snap cap or rubber o ring under the hammer. Some guys use both.

Me, too.    Only use it when fishing from the kayak.  Don't ride ATVs anymore but if I did I'd have a lanyard on it then, too.

I use it riding bicycles and motorcycles and it also makes a darn nice tool to push the plug in when removing the hammer spring.
