CZ 75 loose hammer
« on: February 21, 2023, 07:58:02 PM »
I have an 87 pre-B that looks rough but shoots really well. It's always bugged me that the hammer moves laterally when the trigger is pulled in SA. A Lot. In DA the hammer seems to travel straight back. I disassembled the gun tonight and the hammer pin (#18 in the parts diagram) is very loose. When placed flat on a table as in the first picture, the pin will wobble a good 1/32". It measures .136" (3.45mm). Anyone know what the pin should measure? I'm afraid the answer is the hole in the hammer has worn. It's the wide pre-b spur hammer and the reason I bought this gun. If someone could measure a good hammer pin I would appreciate it. Plan B may be to see about an oversized pin. Opinions?
