DPM Recoil Reduction System for pistols — any good?
« on: April 02, 2023, 09:07:29 PM »
I stumbled onto these guys the other day. Looks like they make this recoil reduction system for a lot of CZs as well as many other pistols.

Anyone have any experience with these, good, bad or indifferent?

I have the DPM Recoil Reduction System on three Pistols, a Steyr L9A1, and two S&W SW9VE's, and they do work and have proven quite durable.

Thanks for that info!

I went ahead and ordered one for a Rami. Of course, the OEM compound recoil spring of the Rami is already pretty similar to the DPM recoil reduction system, so we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully it will be an improvement over the stock outer recoil spring, which is a “wear item” only good for @ 600 rounds.

You are most Welcome!  :)

While perfectly adequate, the Steyr L9A1 and both SW9VE's come stock with single Spring Recoil Springs and Polymer Guide Rods, so the DPM tandem Recoil Springs and metal construction were a definite upgrade for my particular application.   Later on, I just might get the DPM Recoil Spring Assemblies for my .45 Tanfoglio Witnesses and 10mm Tanfoglio Witness.
