P07 being discontinued??

I just saw a video on YouTube by Honest Outlaw on the 15 best handguns. He was talking about the CZP07 and said that it was going to be discontinued. Does anyone have any more information on this? I own one, but I’m just curious to know.

CZ-USA still shows the P-07 standard model and suppressor ready model as well as the same 2 models for the P-09 in production. I would not put much stock in what dishonest inlaw says he is simply wrong. The gray versions as well as the .40 S&W versions were discontinued and the OD green version is gone. The standard models are still  with us.

Thank you sir!!!  That’s kinda what I was thinking.   

By the way, I also heard from a couple of others that CZ was just trying to clean out left over stock on the CZP07 and eventually they will be discontinued. 

I hope you are right my friend.  The P07 is amazing.

If CZ was going to discontinue the gun and it is possible in the future they may do so they could put it on the discontinued list right now and sell off any remaining stock. That's how they've always do it in the past.
Unless I get info like this from a reputable source such as someone in the industry then I give it no credence.

Spoke to a rep inquiring about possibly updating the P series, he said workin on a smaller lighter version of P07 and “Bigger P09” also lamented how P10m was late to party, he said they are fixing that too!

All makes sense, as my dealer had an unamed P10 on his order form, he said he didn’t know what it was but was told “like a 43x” by his rep. Also said they just dropped the prices on P10m, ‘07 and ‘09?

I caught that statement when watching his video as well. He is pretty much wrong as others have stated. He may have meant that certain models have been dropped, but the P07 is still going strong.

My prediction is that you'll be OK.  Those guns will last and CZ will periodically have parts in stock.  I bought 2 P228s long after they were discontinued and believe me, SIG gets a bad rap on models and my sons will be shooting my P228s. 

Makes sure you have some springs and especially CGW TRSs.

I own many things that are no longer produced because they are things that I like much more than the more recent renditions. Car, guns, motorcycle etc. There are plenty of spare parts available for the P-07. If you really like the gun I would pick up a couple each of springs, slide stops, and so on. Unless you shoot tens of thousands of round a year it's not likely you'll wear the gun out but having some extras of possible wear items if nothing else can give you piece of mind that you can use it for a lifetime.

Ain't that the way it works.

I get into Shields because there's nothing smaller with safeties in the CZ store and they claim they're about to make something smaller than my P07.

Oh well, at least the Shields shoot good.
