CZ Shadow Bull Barrel Switch
« on: March 08, 2023, 12:28:50 AM »
I have a CZ Shadow Bull Barrel and I am trying to switch to limited optics division with this gun. What is the best customization for the gun?

USPSA or IDPA or IPSC?  I am ASSUMING you mean carry optics as opposed to limited division.

Polishing internals as outlined elsewhere on this forum is "I THINK" legal in all the above but I only shoot USPSA.  For USPSA Cajun Gun Works pro package and a trigger profile you like.  This would be a competition only pistol not for CC or home defense.  High capacity mags, up to 23 rounds are available.  Optic of your choice and there are many threads on this and Brian Enos's forum as to the best optic.

Then there are Grips and they are VERY individual, you just try different ones to find what you like.

Limited Optics is a new provisional USPSA class where 2011's can play with magwells and slide mounted optics.

For the OP's Bull Shadow... Assuming it already has an optic, I would convert to SAO, install a wide safety and a magwell and go play.

Holosun had a new large window optic at shot show, not sure when its coming out though. I'm a huge fan of the big green ring. Besides that I would do what Earl said and go SAO wide safety and magwell. Love the Bullshadow!

Ed,

Forgot about the new provisional division.

If I was going to shot Limited Optics I would want a .40 so I could shoot major PF, but that's just me.  I have not seen a BS in .40 but I probably am wrong.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

I didn't think they approved the Limited Optics provisional status yet?  Did they?  The last communication I've seen stated they hadn't:  https://uspsa.org/announcement/813

Based on the survey results I'm not sure there is a consensus that it should be a division?  I'd rather they just create an Optics division and allow SAO in it.

Cheers,
Toby

I'm still wishing that they allowed frame mounted dots, but alas that is so close to open, just shoot open...

Welp there you go, has anyone seen the division requirements?  Will there be major scoring?

Cheers,
Toby

A little birdie told me last night that these are shipping (he has 2 in transit). Another little birdie told me they will most likely buy these for all their dot guns to replace the SRO.

If anyone know where one can be found the is in stock please advise. thx!
Have a great Friday!
