I have a nice DA/SA CZ pistol already (Shadow Tac Ii), so I decided to make my Shadow2 SAO.
I bought both the CGW shadow2 standard package and the SA trigger (and pins, trs, etc) when they finally came back into stock last week.
My question is, is there much of a difference between just installing the CGW SA trigger, and installing the SA trigger with the standard package?
It is a decent amount of extra expense and effort, and I want to know if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Admins: I posted on CGW sub-forum, but didn’t get many views and zero replies. Sorry for doubling up.

The trigger shoe doesn't change anything, so what you have is what you will keep with the new trigger shoe.

If you want a trigger with shorter reset, less trigger  travel you need to swap additional parts.

Thanks for all the replies. I put in the CGW straight trigger, shoulder pin and reduced power trigger return spring. The reset is less crisp than with the stock trs, but otherwise very nice.
I adjusted 99% of the pre-travel out.
Still on the fence about whether I want to put in the standard kit.

For a better reset and more crisp break:
1. Get a new SAO hammer
2. Use a Tanfo sear spring.
3. Increase hammer spring weight
4. Use stock TRS

I did not know there was such a thing as a SAO hammer for the Shadow 2? Is it a custom part? I was led to believe the hammer on the Shadow 2 was the same for their DA/SA and SAO versions.

Thank you for the advice. One step at a time I guess.

Thank you for all the info. You are a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate your willingness to share. I am going to start small and put back in the stock trs. Do you have a recommendation on a hammer spring weight for me to order?

Since you're doing this for SAO, you can go high. Use a stock, or go nuts like me - I use a 24# hammer spring but I also have a modified SP-01 Kadet so I get 100% ignition:

Do I need to match the mainspring to the firing pin spring weight like I see on CGW and CZ Custom websites? The heaviest weight spring I usually see on websites is 15 or 16 pounds.
