I've only (that I remember) installed a couple CGW barrel bushings (CZ75SA and a steel framed CZ75 Compact marked model with the P01 style rails).

Both factory bushings drove out pretty easy (after the front sight pin was removed) easy with the 11 MM socket and extension long enough to stick out past the back of the slide.

Both CGW bushings went in pretty easy.  Started with a polymer faced hammer and then finished with a block of wood between the bushing and the steel hammer.  Don't really remember an issue with the front sight pin as far as reinstalling one.  Did the CGW bushings have a notch in the outside for the pin?  Or did I have to drill through the front sight pin hole again?  I don't remember.  Either way, it was a fairly quick easy job and I know the bushing helped on the Compact.  Not sure the SA needed it but my youngest son wanted one in there so we did it.

CGW stuff works for me.

But you will, sooner or later, run into a slide that's tight or a bushing that's a little large or a combination of both.  Guns (and the parts they're made from) are funny.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

This one definitely has the slot for the front sight pin.  Maybe older ones did not, I don't know.

Thanks for all input, still weighing options.

Small update - I got it out.  Froze the slide over night (instead of ~30 minutes like before) this time and was a little more insistent i.e. I used a bigger hammer.  Stuck the original bushing back in - hopefully I got it straight...

I guess I'll probably try to sell the CGW bushing since I can't use it.  I don't fault them, I think this was tolerance stacking with my particular SP01.  Debating now whether to send it to CZC for their Accu-Bushing treatment.

Thanks for all input.

Just curious why you didn't just change to a taller front sight, it seems to me less work than changing back to the original bushing?
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

My overall vision for this project includes upgrading to Night Fision sights.  On contacting them I learned that they don't make different height fronts, they've got a standard set of front and rear for the SP01 and that's all ya get.  I'm hoping they shoot to the same POI as the stock night sights do.

I'm also now considering the AccuBushing treatment from CZC (might have said so above I can't remember), so going back to stock made a certain sense there too.

Different ammo shoots to different points of impact.  Bullet weight and velocity make a difference sometimes.

Very true, but all ammo used with this pistol during the time in question was from the same case of S&B so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue.

Sorry, what I meant was that if you can't find the sights you want or another bushing doesn't fix it then trying some different ammo might get your POI and POA together on the paper.
