Kadet II, Speed Loader and Hammer Spring
« on: April 11, 2023, 09:15:20 PM »
I picked up an used Kadet II at a price that I thought was reasonable.  Long story short, I sold my first Kadet II a few years ago, a decision that I came to regret later.

It took about 5-10 minutes of filing to fit the Kadet to the 75B.  Today I gave it a light cleaning and took it to the range.

Setup-
Kadet II
CZ 75B frame (converted to SA)
15# hammer spring
CCI Minimags
Modified speed loader (Took about 30 minutes to file down the metal guide?)

It shot 100 flawless rounds.  The groupings weren't great, but blame the shooter  ;D

It was really a pleasure to shoot, and it's going to be one of the regulars in the range bag.

I thought I was getting a Raptor Speed Loader, but the eBay seller sent me a cheap Chinese clone  ::)

You don't need to make a 22 Uplula you can buy one.  You can look around for a better price. The range I go to has a bunch I'll ask how much they want for them.

A few years ago I modified a Maglula before they came out with the 22uplula.  Needless to say, I gave the modified Maglula to the buyer when I sold my first Kadet II  :'(

I use the Uplula 22 with my Kadet II - works very well.

My Uplula 22 works fine with the metal mags but does not work with the SP01 plastic mags.

Nice that your 15lb spring works.  I run a full house 20# spring for 100% ignition (as its a rf steel challenge gun... 100% ignition is not negotiable and sub 20# was giving me 99-99.5%).  Fortunately, a 20# spring doesn't really change the pull weight when you are SAO and have tuned/bought a race hammer
