Dropped another vid on the Long Range stuff - please feel free to come check it out and support RUMBLE as opposed to YT(where you can't even insert std cap mags).
My goal here is to have a rifle zeroed for every distance at my home range.
The next goal is to take one mage with 300PRC and shoot 100yds, then adjust only the Ivey base and go to 600yds, adjust base, 750yds, adj. base, 1000, adj base 1250.
Basically one mag for all distances without touching the scope turrets.

Feel free to post or roast - what do ya'll want to see?

What's the reason for only wanting to adjust the base vs dialing turrets?  I'd drop the 6.5 creed and use the 300 PRC for everything.  The Arc is such a fun gun to shoot though.

I am still waiting for my 7 PRC to arrive.  I have everything ready to start loading except brass and H1000.  I purchased 4 boxes of factory to get me through barrel break in and to give me some brass to get started.

Cheers,
Toby

Just saw this question. A number of reasons but they all add up to I like to do things different. but here are some reasons:
I trust etched glass more than machined brass threads
I will always be looking through the center of the glass
I will never be (1 turn up, or down or whatever).
Its there so use it and get used to using it for when the >1700 yds day comes.
Its much faster to dial 25MOA on base than on turret.

I just posted a match rifle brass prep video on my rumble channel you might like.

Let me know when the 7PRC gets here. Have a great week.

Well I got the call and my rifle is done, I'm excited to get out and work up new loads for it.  It should ship this week.  I also ordered a jug of Staball HD, probably not as temp stable as the H1000 but should give similar velocity.

I'm going to play musical scopes and move the scope off my primary hunting rifle onto my kids rifle and take his scope and put it on my new rifle.  He doesn't like his reticle and likes my scope better.  I like his scope and reticle so it is a win win!

I watched the brass prep video and do a similar routine when prepping brass for either hunting or precision shooting.  I don't shoot long range competitions and I don't have a official long range in my area, just some spots in the woods that go out to 1k with some steel placed at 200yd increments (400, 600, 800, and 1k).

I haven't been out with rifles in some time due to the extended winter here in AZ.  They just opened the forests a week or two ago so now I'm able to get out and get some practice at range again.

Cheers,
Toby
