I didn't see the post earlier.
I have worked on about a dozen CZs, and at least 6 TS variants. On the lightest of triggers, this issue is observable and very common in most specimen. The easiest solution for TS variants (being SAO) is to reduce the hammer hook height. This reduces the ground/distance sear has to travel up to release the hammer. But one has to be very careful, as this can easily be overdone, and I had been able to go beyond point of return on 2 of the pistols (both mine).

CZC and CGW hammers solve the issue largely due to lower hook height on the hammer, and a slightly different geometry for sear to hammer contact altogether. The CZC competition hammers still needed some reduction in hook height, although quite little.

I would not advise polishing any further, as its easy to get to the point where the sear would no longer be able to reliably engage with the hammer, and you could end up having a pistol that would empty the mag as soon as loaded!

Some of the pistols had a more pronounced presentation of the issue you faced, some had slightly less, but they all had it.
I owned 4 of TS that I had worked upon, at different periods over the years.

I would observe the sear movement from the rear of the pistol, when squeezing the trigger. It rises up, and then releases the hammer. The upward movement is reflected in your videos, as its the trigger squeeze that drives the sear up.

A lighter hammer spring makes this feel less obvious, but then you might need extended firing pin for reliable ignition on all primers. Also, the lighter hammer spring will reduce the trigger weight a few ounces.

Also, as you mentioned, if you squeeze the trigger to a certain point without letting the hammer fall, then all the creep is taken out, and hammer is released quite crisply. This is what a well tuned competition hammer will do too.
The sear is held at a higher position on the hammer hooks in your case, by friction between sear and hammer, and their corresponding spring tensions that work against each other. This smoothens out a bit over time with use, or with polish, as you have done, but the underlying condition of hammer hook height is still there.

I have two tsos and that would have been addressed right away.  It is not normal.  The cgw hammer will impress even the most trigger snobbery.

Do you mean something like this: https://cajungunworks.com/product/tactical-sport-hammer-kit/?

Full width direct replacement full Race Hammer Kit with all the parts needed.  This kit will actually increase the SA pull weight to average of 2.5#’s.  The factory pull of 1.5#’s or less can be to lite for some shooters.  The CGW kit also eliminates the annoying creep present in many of the Tactical Sport models.

Huh, increased pull weight, but no creep, interesting. I'm wondering if my issue is the "creep" that they mention here or is it something different. Anyway, I don't really have access to CGW parts (no local dealers and CGW doesn't deliver outside US) - could I do something about this without the CGW parts? I'm not sure if it's the hammer, sear or something else

I had CGW install the adjustable sear and hammer kit on my ts2 green and it actually decreased trigger pull from 1# 14oz to 1# 4oz.  When i asked them about and told them what the description on their page said they sounded kind of surprised it said it would increase pull weight.

So CGW was surprised that their website indicates it would increase trigger pull weight?  Who is running CGW now?  I'm certain David wouldn't be surprised.

Did you have any other work performed with the install of the hammer kit?  Did you actually get the CGW hammer kit or the CZ competition hammer?

I gained about 5 oz of trigger pull weight over my stock TSO (CZ competition hammer) weight using the CGW TS hammer kit hammer.  It is a hard to believe but the with the CGW TS hammer kit, it is heavier, has a pronounced wall, and is more crisp.  I would want it to have even a heavier pull if I was calling the shots during design.  You can't feel it on the clock at all and clean 3lb trigger could help both USPSA and bullseye shooters alike.

Cheers,
Toby

They also installed a CZ Factory Green Trigger along with the CZ adjustable sear and hammer.  Yes it was the CGW hammer that was for the adjustable sear.  I didnt speak to David it was one of the other smiths.  Landry was his name.  Anyway it was a pretty big reduction and I even have the card they sent back with the new pull weight.
