Palmetto State Armory has them this week for $499. That isn't bad.

It’s not a horrible outlandish price but I feel like they should be in the $400-$450 range tops.

The PCR is the best gun CZ makes IMO. More accurate and ergonomic than any of my other CZ's and equipped with a de-cocking lever, rubber grip panels, serrated front and back straps and a loaded chamber indicator.  Hard to find a $500 gun with all of those features.
The tiny sights will need replaced however.

Yeah that would be great cuz then all the other lesser stuff like poly crap would be selling for like a buck fifty.

I don't know what would make the PCR more accurate than the P01, Compact, P07, or any other CZ for that matter.  I DO wish that they made an alloy framed compact with manual safety.

$500-550 seems about right for the market.  The problem is that you need to spend $200-300 making the trigger good on any CZ especially the decocker models.

They do. It's the P-01 Omega and it has a sweet trigger. Also if you ever buy a CZ with a crunchy trigger, you can always send it back to the factory like I have done several times. They fixed one of my PCR's by polishing the internals and feed ramp and I swear it has a a shorter reset and smoother trigger pull weight than one of my other ones that I spent over $150 on for a CGW Short Reset Kit and gunsmithing.

I've had bad Omega triggers too - but they are mostly easier to fix.  On some the stacking never goes away.  In general CZ pales in comparison to SIG in DA/SA.  That does NOT mean I can SHOOT a SIG better necessarily.  Much else goes into practical accuracy.  But when it comes to a smooth DA and crisp SA, the SIG blows the standard CZ away on average.  And of course on a decocker gun, the SIG reset is miles shorter with SRT.

Well since we are revisiting this again I'll reiterate previous postings on the subject. My experience with Sig has not been what yours has been and my 2 now orpahaned P229 Legions had triggers that progressively got heavier over time. The 2 Legions and 2 M11-A1's NEVER exhibited the reliability of my CZ's so I now own no Sigs but the CZ's remain.
Maybe CZ triggers are not always what they could be out of the box be but that's an easy fix for me with CGW Pro Pack kits. I can fix up a PCR the way I want it and spend $400 less than what a legion sells for new now.
Initially the Sig may feel better but long term the CZ will spank the Sigs and you don't here us over here butt crying because the purdy anodizing is wearing off our frames.

I figured you had to jump in - and you are fine to do so...

There is a used P226 in the shop right now - that I really don't need - and it has a superb DA trigger.  $600.  (It was never cleaned).  I can spend another $50 and put a SR Kit on it and have a reset that is a fraction of the CZ (even Cajunized).  The SA is also nice.  Sure, I have felt SIG DA/SA's that aren't great.  Usually the MK 25s and M11s with their phosphated internals are gritty from that process.  I have felt Legions that aren't that great. Most standard SIG DA/SAs I've felt are better than the Legions I've handled.  Odd.

However, some easy polishing work makes them nice.

But having bought several CZs - P guns, P01s, etc.  I can attest that most are gritty, and most stack - some horribly.  You can cover it up with light springs and polishing, and the decocker is not trivial work.  CZ-UB trigger QC is very lacking.

IF you happen upon one at a gunshow or shop that has a good trigger, you MAY be able to get by with some shooting and polishing. You will still have a long reset and the camming SA trigger - all can be acceptable for many shooters.  But of you want a really good trigger, it will cost $200-300 and your labor to make it all work.  So.. that is a $700-900 gun.

What you CAN end up with with a CZ is a SHORT and light DA that makes the gun VERY shootable and CGW can make the SA very good.  And they become VERY shootable and the P01 is a great reliable design otherwise.  They SHOOT!
