P07 Extended Slide Release

So I finally purchased a P07 from Cabelas last Thursday for $349. They have a bunch of them for this price due to the mags being California regs. I just drilled out the dimples and no more capacity restrictions (I live in NW Houston). Anyway, as I’m sure you’re all aware the slide release is next to impossible to actuate with your predominant hand. I decided to take the slide stop out of my SAR CM9 and give it a try. Works like a charm! Very easy to actuate now and works as designed. I’ve sent an email to SAR to see if the slide release is available separately or if it’s the same as the K12. I’ll report back as soon as I know.

Neat.  Would like to see some pictures of how it looks and the info on where you got extras if you can get them.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Of course it's MIM and so is the original CZ part. I put over 15,000 rounds through an older P-07 and the MIM slide stop was in fine shape. 5,000 rounds on my current P-07 and it has no issue either. The only thing wrong with MIM parts today exists in the minds of those who still think there's something wrong with the process.

Looks good.  If it works good for you then that looks like the way to go.

Yea it definitely makes it easier to actuate with the predominant hand.

Interesting idea! I pulled out a couple of other CZs and found the slide stop for a Phantom works great. Don't know a source, though. CZCustom website says P-01/Shadow 2 will fit. Don't own either.

Should add this is a first gen Phantom. Don't know if gen 2 has a thinner slide.
