Thoughts on a SIG P250
« on: August 18, 2023, 07:59:39 PM »
Anyone have any experiences with SIG’s discontinued P250?  I took mine out recently and reacquainted myself with it.  For those unfamiliar, it’s SIG’s first foray into modular guns with P320 like fire control unit but with a DAO hammer action.

I shot my P250 SC ( with an xcompact grip module) in a local IDPA match in CCP division. Came in the top 50% beating a few carry optics and ESP shooters. Has been a while shooting it in a match and I’m glad I did- gun did well, wish I did.

Out of the gate, my first shots were low; I was able to correct that with the next target array, but I learned something. Despite my shooting revolvers frequently, I was pushing this gun down after the draw during my trigger press. I hope to shoot it more at future matches.

Regardless, I still enjoy the P250, it’s a good gun for my needs & I find the trigger an attribute and not a detriment.
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

Great gun, particularly for carry! Very versatile when it was current....
