A timney trigger would be great as I'm sure a CZ custom would be good too.

I did the spring upgrade from HB. It turned out great. Not as good as a Timney but pretty darn good.

Some places are selling the Timney Trigger for $169.00:

I guess it depends what you use your Scorpion for. Mine are SHTF weapons, so the HBI kit is ideal for me — brings the oem trigger down from 9 to 5.5lbs. which is about perfect for me and only cost @ $12.

The $$$ trigger packs are @ 2 - 4lbs which IMO is light for SD use.

If you need  922r parts, the Timney would help out there as well.

After spending an inordinate amount of time messing with the stock trigger parts, I'm about ready to buy a Timney myself.

I've done the HBi springs (biggest improvement). Shimmed the trigger, but have had the rearmost shim work loose twice, causing malfunctions. Welded and filed to replace those shims, which was quite a project. The 922r compliant disconnector broke, causing hammer follow.

I have a scorpion carbine. In its HD role I run a stock trigger setup with HBI spring. In steel and play mode I have another trigger housing with a Timney V2 installed. No doubt the Timney feels much much better in both pull and reset.  If there was one thing I wish the Timney could improve upon it would be the safety detent. With a HBI Ak long safety lever the safety throw and detent it could be more positive. It just needs a stronger detent spring to feel more tactile. Even adjusted as stiff as possible it just needs more spring. That’s my only “wish” for the Timney. It’s not even a complaint

Yikes!! If you’re shimming and welding your Scorpion FCG to achieve your desired trigger pull, it’s probably time to bite the bullet and shell out the $$$ for a reliable factory trigger pack. Note that the first generation Timney triggers had some problems (I don’t recall exactly what they were — intermittent dead trigger?) but apparently all that’s been rectified.

I just ordered the Timney curved for $149 as well.  Can’t wait to improve my new carbine 3+.

The flat trigger and spring kit made my evo s1 into a very reliable good trigger. Good reset.  Smooth take up.  Good crisp break.

Ordered my Timney trigger a few days ago and it should be here today!  I got an LE discount, so I didn’t have to pay the full price.  I saw this too late to get the better $149 deal.  I ordered the flat trigger so hopefully it will all work out.  The stock trigger really sux, and the HBI is better but even that is too mushy for me.  HBI is a cheaper alternative if you want to go that route.  Hopefully the Timney will do great.  Not sure why they are in yellow/orange color, but that’s fine because it’s inside the gun.

Just bought mine tonight...paid $125 before shipping...it was an instant $75 off for some reason and then "BACKCOUNTRY" code gave me another $50 off. Good luck!
