Haven't been to a gun show in a year and a half.  Had some leg/knee/pain issues for a couple months and at times couldn't get up without help and could only walk a little ways.  Been getting better and decided to drive up to the gun show and see how long I could walk around.

Went inside and three tables from the door was a well preserved 2010 made DUTY P07 .40.  Used.  $400.  Still in the box, two magazine without a mark on them, cleaning rod/brush, warranty papers and target info behind the foam - oh, and the safeties still in the little zip lock back.  Had to bring it home.

The pistol barrel was dirty.  There are wear marks on the slide stop shaft, top of the barrel and hammer face.  It's three years older than my P07 Duty .40 S&W.  No wear on the outside.

It's a bit different than mine.  The metal plate in the frame with the serial number is shiny/stainless looking while the 2013 model has a black serial number plate.  The barrel on the 2010 model is shiny (stainless??) and the serial number matches the frame.  The 2010 model had a different spring that holds the slide stop in place vs. the 2013 model.  The 2010 has a spring that extends rearwards from the front metal frame insert and bends to the right at 90 degrees and goes into a hole in the frame.  The 2013 model spring doesn't protrude from the metal frame insert.  There is a hole in the frame but there's nothing in it.

Pictures after I get more taken and organized.

Oh, nice SA trigger, too.  I've not yet measured it but I like it.  I'll shoot it some and then put it in the safe as the back up for my 2013 model I carry all the time.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Frame with the decockers in it still.

Both magazines

The magzines had stickers on the back.  Haven't seen that before.

2010 pistol frame with the long slide stop spring.

2013 pistol frame with the short slide stop spring.

Oh, forgot to mention the target paperwork says the group was four shots with a dispersion area of 33.3 mm at 25 meters.  That's about a 1&1/3" group I believe.  I'd like to think I could shoot a 1&1/3" group at 25 meters but I don't think I've got that strength in my hands/arms anymore.

Yep the slide stop spring was one of the things that was changed between the "A and B prefix models. They did that because sometimes when the slide stop is removed the longer spring can be pulled from its place in the frame and upon reinstallation of the stop if the spring doesn't snap back in place it can cause the frame to bulge out in that area.
When the gen 2 non Duty models came out they eliminated that extra hole in the frame.

Both of these are DUTY models and have the hole in the frame but the 2013 model doesn't have a long spring on it.

I need to take a look at the P09 pistols and see if the springs in those would work in the 2010 model and get rid of that "tricky" spring.

If I remember right 2013 was the last year for the DUTY model before the gen2 came out. At any rate I believe all you need to do is pick up the later short spring and replace the long one and you're go to go.

Thanks.  I also thought about the spring changes I'd done to the one I've had all these years so I'll probably order a CGW reduced power trigger return spring, firing pin block spring.  I leave the hammer spring and firing pin return spring alone.  Only thing I did ot the recoil spring assembly was open up the spring guide hole in the front of the frame so I could use the later captured spring assembly for the .40 S&W caliber.  If I can still get those I might see about doing that as well.  I dislike having to "fight" with the spring and guide of the factory style set up when putting it back in the slide.

Looked the CGW website and they had most of what I wanted.

Went to the CZ USA webstore and saw more "Out of Stock" warnings than in stock (seemed like it, did not do a full count) and they only had a couple parts I wanted.

Back to CGW and made an order for more than I needed just to put some spares away in the CZ parts divider boxes I might have to use some day.  Maybe.  If I live that long.  Otherwise my sons can keep the unused CZ repair parts in case they need them some day.

Maybe I have better luck with my CZ pistols than some folks.

Oh, got the trigger pull ga. out.  4 lbs. SA and 10 lbs. DA.  That's about 3/4 lbs. more on SA than my 2013 model was when new.  And the DA pull is about 1.5 to 1.75 lbs. heavier on the 2010 model than on the 2013 pistol.  I don't use DA anyway.  If I shoot the 2010 it'll probably lighten up a little.  Installing the CGW firing pin block and trigger return springs should lighten up the SA trigger pull just a little.  I'll probably wait till next year to get the slide milled for a dot sight and back up rear sight.  Till then it's just function/accuracy testing and then cleaning it up and putting it away till I can get it finished/ready to jump in if needed.

edited to add - Good thing I had the appt. with the wellness program nurse a couple days before I got this old pistol.  When she asked me if I was feeling good/happy or had feeling of sadness or depression my answer might have been, "Oh heck no.  I'm happy as can be.  I just got a new CZ." ;D

Nice find at a good price.  It’s just a matter of being in the right place at the right time with a fat wallet.  My best gun show find was a weatherby Vanguard chambered in 243 win, it had a 3-9 Walmart quality scope on it.  For $300.00 I couldn’t leave it behind.  Brought it home, went to the range, and it shot awesome with hornady whitetail 100 grain.  It got a timney trigger and a Vortex scope.  I’ll never see why somebody parted with that rifle so cheaply.   There are deals at gun shows but you need to be in the right place at the right time, I was at a different gun show and my cell phone and an internet connection prevented me from making some serious mistakes.  In this case Gun Broker was my friend.

Sometimes an ammo change turns a disappointment into a shining star.  I've seen that with rifles.  Probably true with pistols but I don't shoot those as far as Joe does so it doesn't show up as much for me. ;D

Just dug out my new pin gauge set for something else but this is what I bought it for - measuring the largest diameter pin that would pass through the firing pin retaining pin.  Not sure what the pin looks like on the outside (on the inside of the slide) from previous wear/damage but I know, at this point in time the 0.050" pin gauge starts in easily (0.051" won't) and passes through with a slight drag near the center.

Now I'd know if shooting live ammo over a number of years results in damage to the firing pin retaining pin.  If I can remember to pull the pin ga. out once a year to test it.  No, I'm not a round counter.  I never shoot any one gun enough at the range to bother counting rounds.

Might make an excel spread sheet to keep the info on though.  Got a few CZs.

Finally got around to ordering the P07 front insert and a few additional parts just now.

Ordered from CZ Custom.  They've got parts CZ USA is out of stock on.

Once they come in I'll do the conversion (DUTY front insert replaced with later P07 front insert and later slide stop spring used as well).  The DUTY parts will go in the bags as spares that may never get used (I hope.)

Question on front insert ordered -  were you able to purchase the spring and short cross pin along with the insert itself?  I could buy the insert from CZ Custom but had to go to CGW for the cross pin but couldn't come up with the proper spring.

I'll have to "try again later."  Message says I messed up the password and it's locked me out "temporarily."

This was the spring I ordered from CZ Custom.  In stock right now, or at least it asks if I want to put it in the cart.

Here's the slide stop pin (which  failed to order)  I'll have to check and see if I've got one in my bins of spare parts (bins, jugs, cans, etc)  I tend to order small parts to fill out an order.  Hate paying for shipping for a couple parts.  Also looks like it will allow me to add it to the cart.

And the front insert (I ordered a rear insert, too.  They're cheap.  Also shows that I can add to the cart.

I bought the same spring. If you check it against the 2010 and 1013 springs now in your pistols I  think you will find that you have 2010 Duty spring and not what you need.  I finally gave up, made a temporary one from a round wire (heated the spring to get a reasonable bend for the cross pin) which worked OK, and bought a used assembly on ebay for $25 delivered - couple Ks sources with inflated asking prices but  both will barter.
