Reload w/ “force” sends slide forward? p07
« on: September 04, 2023, 02:32:16 PM »
Disclaimer: First post. New to this forum and I am a CZ NOOB. Pweez b noice to me…

Just got a “barely” used p07 off a friend and shot it for first time. Only had time to get a few mags thru it. I like it a lot. SA guns are awesome after so much glock life.

Slide has 21 next to the little crest logo on ejection port side. Assuming that’s manufacture date?

The slide when locked back to the rear will fall forward if I use “too much” force upon loading a full mag. Is this an issue of me using tard strength or is this a known problem amongst the community? I  am curious if CZ acknowledged it or if it’s something I can fix or have fixed on my own.

It happens with my basic 15 rd mag and a 17rd mag that might b for a different model, judging by the slightly different angle on its baseplate from angle of the pistol grip

It doesn't happen to any of mine but I may not be hammering the magazine home.

Don't think I've heard of it being an issue with others but someone may speak up with a similar issue to yours.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The slide when locked back to the rear will fall forward if I use “too much” force upon loading a full mag.

This happens on a number of different guns including CZ, S&W and HK. Mostly happens when inserting a full mag - and why would you insert anything less than a full mag ;D Nothing wrong with it. In fact I wish they would do that all the time, but you can't really count on it.

Dunno about that. I will have to defer to the experts.

Welcome to the addiction. Be forewarned: those CZs tend to multiply!

I call it auto loading, but it is not that common with CZ handguns. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Ok, I don’t really like that it happens but i guess ill live with it if its not a fixable issue. I can try to be softer with my reloads

If you really don't like it, there is probably a way to fix it, it would probably involve using a different spring, and if anyone would know it would be Cajun Gun Works.

Or use lighter ammo :P

I have no idea of why it happens but it has randomly happened with many of the guns I own across different brands. The same gun will do it twice in a row and then won't do it for a very long time. I like it when it does it tbh... Especially when I'm running drills.

My P10-C would auto forward when it was new, but the force from manfully inserting a full mag eventually bent the ejector arm up and it stopped doing that.

Milled for a red dot?  Works great.  Mine's been set up that way for almost 10 years.

Ya i got the pistol for dirt cheap so I’ve got half a mind to have it milled for a dot, ya know, gun addict justifications to keep sinking money into stuff. I’m thinking the SA with a dot could be a sweet combo.

My P-07 often goes into battery when slamming home a magazine, even if its not full.  It happens on some firearms, but it's not an issue, it's physics.

But neither is it uncommon. Many owners consider it an asset. You may come to count on it.

Also note that CZ's usually get better with age, as you continue to shoot and lubricate. This is mainly in the trigger group, but this 'auto load' attribute may change too.
