« on: September 21, 2023, 07:58:06 PM »
I think I'm losing my mind here guys. Lol

Few years ago someone offered me a trade for what I remember was a spo1 in some sort if bland yellow. It was not urban grey.. Atleast I dont remember it being urban grey. Was there such a  color? He did say it was factory.

I’ve seen pale yellow factory grips but not a gun.

One of my Cajunized CZs is Ceracoted in Titanium Gold. Could it have been this color?

https://www.google.com/search?q=cerakote+titanium+gold

This was not factory but done by Dmitri Tsarov at TSS (Texas Shooter Supply).

Could have just been the picture quality that the person sent you. The FDE SP-01 Tac looks kind of odd in certain light.

Yeah that could be the case. Yesterday I bought a spo1 tactical in urban grey and then that "yellow" spo1 popped in my head. Been driving me nuts.lol...

There were some SP01 Shadows that had a satin nickel(polycoat) frame with a black slide. Satin nickel sometimes had a yellowish tone.

Not aware of SP01, but CZ has done some guns in "gold" polycoat that looks mustard yellow: https://www.omahaoutdoors.com/cz-75-b-omega-convertible-9mm-pistol-gold/

Manufacturer's part # has GLD for gold in it...  "MPN:91136-GLD-FR"

Like for his comment or like for the photo?  or BOTH?

I picked this one up at a gun show in Beaumont, Texas while working a startup at the ExxonMobil refinery there.
I was surprised to see a familiar face there from Houston since while it isn't too long of a drive, it isn't a very nice drive due to construction.  I had been looking for a P10F in .45 ACP and no vendor there had one.

I mentioned this to him and he reached under the table and pulled this one out and said "here's the .45 you need."  I bought it although I already had TWO (2) other CZ97's (BE & BD).  He also gave me a birthday discount!

It's good to have friendly relationships with a lot of LGS owners!

This is my SP-01 TAC FDE, but this picture makes it actually look FDE. I have seen some online that make the color look really odd.
