Problem with my EVO 3S1Carbine
« on: December 08, 2023, 03:12:41 AM »
Good morning,
I hope you can give me a tip for my problem...
Picked up my CZ Evo 3s1 carbine on Monday and installed the Timney trigger, 125% spring, magazine release, handguard and loading lever.
Tested it for the first time yesterday and after about 150 shots I only heard a click when hitting the shot.
Changed magazine... same thing just one click...
Cartridge loaded directly into the chamber by hand... again just one click when hitting...
The firing pin leaves no mark on the primer since the problem occurs.
Disassembled the weapon and looked for the problem...the hammer of the trigger hits the firing pin as intended...so I took a closer look at the firing pin...it doesn't look broken to me, but it doesn't protrude far enough the slide when you press it in to ignite the primer....maybe you have a tip or even the solution to my problem...because after 150 shots the gun can't go dead...
Pictures show the overall length of the firing pin, the tip of the firing pin and the position of the firing pin as the hammer pushes it through the breech....
Greetings Brian

Though I don’t have one myself, there seem to be a lot of issues with Timney triggers. Is it going fully into battery and deactivating the firing pin block? Seems to be a lot of info on redit regarding this issue.

How did it perform before you installed the trigger?
