Rust Browning

Hi,
    Has anyone rust browned a CZ pistol? I've got a pre-b with some worn nickel plating on the frame. Rust bluing sounds too tedious for me; I'm worried about all the nooks and crannies inside the frame. I found this link describing how someone does rust browning on muzzle loaders that sounds pretty easy to do:

Well that's certainly an interesting read. The chemicals and method he is using is never going to provide a very durable finish for starters. Another thing is I would not use any type of chemicals like this in the kitchen where my food is prepared.

I think if the gun isn't pitted I'd look at having it cerakoted or nitrided either of which are very durable finishes.

Regardless of which bluing/browning method you choose, you'll need to completely remove the nickel first. De-plating is not a task for the average DIY hobbyist.
