Heart Scan on advice from CZ Forum member
« on: January 18, 2024, 01:11:21 PM »
Sorry that this is not particularly gun related, but on the advice of CZ Forum member Wobbly, I spent $200 and got a CT calcium heart scan. Turns out some blockage in the "widowmaker artery". Not heart attack level yet but needs to be addressed. MANY MANY MANY thanks to Wobbly! I would highly advise having this done. Basically for the cost of a few boxes of ammo, you could save your life or at least gain some peace of mind. See, I worked in the boxes of ammo comment so should be gun related now?  :) Seriously y'all, please consider this. BTW, I have had no symptoms but was looking at what could have been fatal if not addressed. Thanks Wobbly. From the heart....literally.

Good to hear that you were able to get on top of the potential health concern.

All the best.

So glad it was useful information. Sorry they found something.

In my case, I had zero symptoms. Great blood and cholesterol stats. Low weight. Very low meat consumption. Very few processed foods in my diet. Low alcohol consumption. And I've been getting regular exercise at least 5 days a week for the last 35 years. Even passed a checkup with EKG only 2 months prior. Then one evening I had a tremendous pain in my left bicep. My LAD (the "widow maker") had a 95% blockage!

Turns out my issue is more related to heredity, than lifestyle or food intake. It can happen !

So I guess your next step is picking a cardiologist, doing a 'stress test' and getting yourself dosed with some Statin drugs.

Good you caught it early!!

My experience as much like Wobbly's (and no other symptoms), except I went into a full-blown event. 90% LAD blockage and 100% blockage of one of the left branches. Took two stents and lived through it, but have lasting muscle damage and substantially reduced ejection fraction.

The CV jabs cause massive health problems, with heart issues at the top of the list, and cancers not far behind.

Death by cause unknown was the number one killer in Alberta last year.

Luckily for me I don't have to worry about artery blockages,  I'm a conspiracy theorist.

Must be great to be so smug...I guess.

Luckily for you, you've just been lucky.

I too avoided the jab(s)(s), but didn't avoid a heart attack.

Maybe you're still a young person without a lot of hard miles. Maybe it will catch up with you too. Plaque build-up in heart arteries happens to many people, regardless of their political beliefs and whether they accepted the clot-shot. Myocarditis is not arterial blockage.

Everyone dies eventually, whether it's the old jam tart or something else it makes no difference. So don't worry about it, live for today and be happy ! ;D

To quote R.D. Laing, “Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent.”. I come from a long line of males who rarely make it to 60. I've beat that so I figure I'm in the game now to see how far I can ride the winning streak.  ;D

Thank you HollowDawg, that was more than worthy, guns or not!  Can’t shoot’em if we don’t . . ., usually say “have-em” there, but can’t shoot’em if we lose our health.  It’s “way” more important, and I’m proud that Wobbly was able to motivate.

Thank you too, Grendel!  It’s appreciated.

I've actually considered getting one.  Was it easy to request one or did you have a condition that caused the doctor to order one?
