New P10 series at Shotshow?
« on: January 23, 2024, 10:39:02 AM »
In the interview with the CEO a 2nd Gen P10 series was supposed to be released months ago.  What do y’all think?  Is this week the week?

I think all commercial business plans have been put on the shelf indefinitely while eastern Europe ramps up military spending and military preparedness in light of the continuing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Interesting take.  I can see that though.  Basically I was hoping and very curious as to what a gen 2 P10 would be like.

Yeah the current state of the world certainly is playing into it but it took CZ very well over a year to bring the gen 1 P10C out after the initial announcement that got everyone in a frenzy. S&W pulled the same thing years ago as well when they announced the M&P line. I just hope when they release the next gen they have their QC in order. The first rollout was anything but stellar and it appears they still let a few more derelicts out than they should.

Have you heard about the military spending Poland is doing ?

They most definitely DO NOT want to be part of Russia ever again.

There is a solitary YouTube video going around that appears to show an updated P-10 model.  Below are links to a screenshot from the video and then the video itself.  Not sure why CZ is being so hush hush about it.  But then they have Colt managing them now, so that somewhat explains their baffling marketing strategies.

Very interesting. If that's the gen 2 laying there it appears they added a thumb safety and much different texture to the grip area. Whether that's how they'll be configured in the production models is the unanswered question at this point.

Those are the couple of changes I see as well.  I don’t know if it the angle of the photo or not, but it looks as if the slide serrations are more rounded.

Baffling marketing strategies? You mean not talking about a product that might still be in testing/design phases?

I am surprised if CZ does not further perfect the P10 to get more of the Glock 19 market. The gun is so close to perfection and just needs a few more tweaks.  The only possible things I can think of is making the drop safety parts more simple and robust, address the slide lock spring being more secure (if they have not already fixed that?), and give us 3 metal magazines instead of 2.

If CZ just made the P10 even more robust and reliable than it already is, while being 150 dollars cheaper than the G19...... CZ would be a God.
