SP01 Safety model// sights
« on: January 23, 2024, 03:27:07 PM »
Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask what front or rear sights should I get for my SP01 safety model. I'm looking to upgrade my sights but I need help in selecting the correct ones for my model. I look forward and appreciate the help :)

Welcome from Georgia.

Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with all the sticky posts in the 'New Members' section. Together with the Help Topics in the 'Important Information' or 'FAQ' sub-section, these include 'how tos' such as 'how to' post pictures on the forum.

Be aware that some of the SP01 "rear target sights" require machining the top of the slide and then (becasue the sight overhangs the hammer...) fitting a different shape hammer. CZ Custom did mine more than a decade ago, so I've forgotten the names of the parts.

What is the intended use for the gun?  Competition?  Home Defense?  What do you find lacking with the OEM sights?

Cheers,

I installed LPA adjustable target rear sights on mine.
It came with fiber optic front sights from factory and that worked fine w new rear sight.

https://cajungunworks.com/product/1294/

The LPA sight does extend a bit towards the rear but does not bother my race hammer.

You can also try the dawson adjustable rear sight but that might need a new front sight.

Go to CGW online

LPA dovetail cut is what you need to avoid machining the slide.

Google is your "friend" - https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=non-optic+sights+for+the+CZ+75+SP-01+pistol#ip=1

While it sounds like you are looking for a non-optical solution, EGW makes plates for most dot sights - see https://www.egwguns.com/pistol-and-red-dot-mounts/?brand=733

I like my stock one's, but I don't like the tactical one's at all
I don't know why they made the front one different.

Try Dawson Precision. Dawson has sights for competition, concealed carry, and just plinking sights.
