75 B Upgrades for EDC?
« on: February 10, 2024, 12:32:27 PM »
I'm currently waiting for my 75 B which I bought online and should arrive today.  I'm A lefty so finding an ambi-safety is top of my list.  What next is my question.  Not looking for anything crazy, already been down that road with no regrets whatsoever.  I currently own a Shadow 2 SA, 9MM and a Tanfo Limited Master, 10mm.  This one will be my everyday carry.
Recommendations on grips, trigger work, sights and safeties would be appreciated.

Sites I've been to looking for part: Cajun Gun Works, CZ Custom Shop, Ben Stoegrer and Patriots Defense.

Unless it's a 75b SAO or a .40S&W it probably won't have an ambi safety.

OP, if you want ambidextrous try to find a CZ85 or CZ85B.  Ambidextrous thumb safeties and slide release levers.

Just like the CZ75 except for those ambidextrous controls.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

So, on one makes a left handed safety for the 75B that I can buy and install myself?

Far from an expert on the CZ 75 series pistols. I am however a lefty and it's my understanding that the right side of the frame needs modification to accept the CZ ambi safety. They unfortunately aren't like a 1911's with aftermarket ambidextrous safeties available.  The stainless 75B pistols, 75 SAO (single action only) 75B's in 40 caliber and the model 85's (85's also have ambi sided slide releases) normally carry ambidextrous safeties. Supposedly some early model 75's (non-B) had ambi safeties but I've never seen one. The frame modification is why for a long time I avoided the model 75 pistols. Pictures are a poly coated model 85 a bright stainless 75B and a 75B SAO all with Lok Palm swell grips and Tru Glo night sights..

Thank you, that's very helpful.  A little disappointing but it is what it is.  I guess I need to start looking for a SAO.  It's what I prefer anyway.

There is a member here who has modified his 75B to accept the ambidextrous safeties and he's written about it here in the forums. He's one of the larger contributors but I can't recall his handle/name off hand. You might do a bit of searching to see what involved. Good luck in your search.
