Well jwc007, I will no longer be hounding you for your Armscor MAP1-MS.   I finally built my ideal compact Tanfoglio/IFG 9mm. I started with a standard IFG Defiant Combat all steel, full size 9mm. Then ordered an IFG Defiant Compact slide in hard chrome finish. Patriot Defense in Texas, https://patriotdefense.com/, milled the slide for the Dawson fiber optic front sight, and they cut/crowned the barrel. I also added a DPM Systems recoil spring unit. The trigger came from Emann Tech, https://b2b.eemann.tech/et-for-tanfoglio/6080-19350-eemann-tech-flat-sa-da-trigger-for-tanfoglio.html#/238-color-silver. The hammer is a Sledge Hammer Lite in Black DLC, also from Patriot Defense, https://patriotdefense.com/patriot-defense-sledge-hammer-lite-dlc-black/. The hammer required some fitment but wasn't terrible, I didn't need to modify the sear or safety, and the safety still functions in all hammer positions. The grips are of course LOK Thin Bogies in light grey/black, https://lokgrips.com/. I can't wait to get it to the range. Preferably ASAP.

Don't know why ARMSCOR only imported limited quantities of that model or why they discontinued all of their metal framed Tanfoglio copies.
Unfortunately, that renders them somewhat collectible.

Right? For the life of me I can’t understand why Tanfoglio doesn’t offer a compact, all steel pistol, with pic rail. Seems like a no-brainer, to me anyway. When I contacted IFG to order the slide, I explained to the sales rep what I needed and what I was trying to accomplish. He was skeptical that the compact slide would work or look right on the full size steel frame. He asked me to hold and went out to the warehouse to grab a compact slide and full-size frame to test fit. When he came back to the phone he seemed pleasantly surprised that they worked and even he wondered why Tanfoglio doesn’t offer the combination. The only other add-ons I’m considering are ambidextrous safety levers and extended mag release. The wifey is hot on my trail tho, so I’ll probably chill for a bit.

Super clean looking build, congrats! Very nice pictures of the Eeman tech Tanfoglio flat trigger as well, something I have been eyeing.  Would you say it slightly increase the reach on the DA pull overall compared to the stock trigger? Hard to tell. 

Also would love an update if you decide to add an ambi safety and/or extended mag release.  What extended mag release are you considering?

Definitely increases the DA reach. If the reach were any longer I’d have to find another option. Honestly, I dig the curve of a 90’s Tanfoglio trigger. Might actually be a better option.
