Why so little discussion on the DWX?
« on: March 18, 2024, 08:21:00 AM »
Curious, hardly any discussion in over 3 months.  What's the deal?

I have one coming this week, looking forward to it.

I see a forum filled with discussions about DWX.

So many that 6 or 7 spill onto page 2.

Did you read my comment?  No discussion for over three months.

No new owners?
No one competing with them?
No discussions about holsters, mods, optics?

I bought one several months ago, but I only punch holes in paper for fun.  I don't compete or carry concealed.  Don't have much to add except to say how much I like it, and my only issue has been that the safety digs into my right thumb after shooting it for a while and that if I don't ride the top of the safety I tend to accidentally apply the safety if I shoot with my thumb along the frame.  I was/am also scratching my head over the lack of discussion about it, so I am in agreement with you for what it's worth.

If you send me one I will shoot the heck out of it. Then I will discuss it with you, tell you what I like and don't like. I will be waiting for the delivery guy.
Thanks and looking forward to my new gun....

And that's the reason we have a written discussion board and not a live, verbal discussion board. So that people arriving 3 months late can join in.

You are certainly welcome to start a discussion.

Just shared two VIDEOs I'd forgotten to -- think worthwhile.

Thank you for the reminder OP.

I just swapped out the factory sites in my DWX Compact for an adjustable rear and a fiber optic front and compete in CCP for IDPA. CcP is a “cheater” division (power factor 105) and with this gun it’s like shooting a 22 pistol. Even with full power loads it’s a smooth recoil/return experience.

I couldn’t find any competition style kydex holsters for this gun yet, so I had one made by Melder Tactical here in Phoenix.

So, big fan so far.

Mine is a little picky with ammo in terms of accuracy, and groups are best with full power loads, which is obviously my challenge trying to find that right balance.

Those are for the full-size and none of those are IDPA compliant. I’m shooting the compact.
I guess the one that covers the trigger guard would be fine on a different mount but it too is just for the full size. They’re actually might be some for the compact now, out there, I dunno….it was six months ago that I got the compact and had the holster custom made.
