Anyone else having trouble getting parts from CZ USA?
« on: April 15, 2024, 10:37:28 PM »
Aside from many items being out of stock, now as per usual, has anyone had trouble getting parts orders processed by CZ USA?

I made an order of a couple hundred dollars worth of parts (all supposedly in stock) on 4/3. Didn’t hear anything for a few days, so I emailed them about it on 4/7. Still haven’t heard anything from them, so I just contacted them again via the contact page.

What’s your recent experience?

I ordered 3 P-10 trigger bars on April 8, in stock, still not shipped.  Unusual.  First time I've ordered anything in a few years, though.

CZ USA parts used to be pretty bleep good. But then Colt Management took over. I hear there have been a lot of layoffs at CZ USA in Kansas City…another upgrade by Team Bankruptcy — I mean Team Colt!!

Since it had been over 2 weeks and 3 emails from me since I placed my order, still with no word from CZ USA, I called them up today and was referred to a live chat, which I tried, but was immediately referred back to the phone number. So was put on hold for 20 minutes before getting a cs rep on the line.

Was told that all parts are currently backlogged because the head of parts had “lost” his 5 man crew. When I asked how he “lost” his crew, I was told that they all quit at the same time — but that they’d hired a new 5 man parts crew today.

So, we’ll see how long it takes the new guys to get up to speed. However, it speaks volumes as to the state of employee morale at CZ USA in KC under Colt’s “leadership.”

Not good.

Up until the Colt takeover, I never had any issues with CZ USA parts. Might have taken them a few days to get the parts in the mail, but they were usually available or would notify when they came back into stock, usually within a few weeks. At least you were assured of getting your parts. Now, not so much. I’ve literally been waiting years to get several parts for the Bren 2.

When your entire parts department walks off the job at once, you’ve got problems.

Nothing will kill a brand faster than poor customer service.

Ok, I did get an email from a cs rep at CZ USA today, saying that my order was moving forward and that it should be sent out in the next few days with a notice and tracking number…so, that’s something.

Depending on what you're looking for CZ Custom or CGW may have it.

When I want to order something I usually work my way through all three (CGW, CZ Custom and CZ USA) and see which one has most of the parts I'm looking for.  Then order from that vendor.  The other parts may have to come from a different vendor.  Then I add to the order to take advantage of more stuff (to put away with the spare parts)  for the same shipping costs.

Almost nothing is perfect.  Use it to your advantage anyway.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Mine is still in "Staging" which I take to mean, order received and I'm in their system, the parts are available and on the shelf, but no one has pulled the parts yet and prepared a package for shipment.

I'm working on other things so not a big deal for me, but it is a disruption in my schedule to install the Apex parts in the C and S pistols and to finish the F pistol, which I am going to shoot today anyway.  It's not like I have a pistol down for parts, I just want to use the trigger bars Apex said work best with their kit, that's all.  Worst case--I go ahead and put the Apex parts in the guns using the existing trigger bars, then take them apart again and change the trigger bars out when I get the parts.  Only about an hour's difference and a couple of boxes of ammo.

There really is no excuse for a major international gun manufacturer to not have adequate parts in stock or readily available in the largest consumer market in the world, which dwarfs most if not all militaries as far as small arms. Civilians and LEOs depend on these guns for their lives.

Yeah, I tried CGW, Ben Stoeger Pro Shop, Numrich, etc., but they’re out of stock for what I need.

I thought CZ acquired Colt, not the other way around.

Right, CZUB did acquire failing Colt a couple of years ago, but for some stupid reason they kept Colt Management on and put them in charge of US operations, subsequently laying off numerous folks at CZ USA in KC.

It’s like when Boeing acquired failing McDonell Douglas years ago - and then put MD Management in charge of the entire company!

So it’s been over a month since I ordered a bunch of parts from CZ USA and a couple of weeks since they told me they’re “working on it” — still nada. I emailed them yesterday to find out the status of my order, but got no response. Helluva way to run a large international arms manufacturer.
