I am seeing new CZ parts selling on eBay for scalper prices. This is the same pattern as Colt parts.
I've not seen CZ parts on ebay selling particularly higher than anything thing else. Maybe you could post an example.
CZ 75 full size mainspring cap with lanyard loop. I recently paid $9.00 for one direct from CZ USA. Listing on eBay is 35.00. This in one example. The eBay seller is listing other new CZ parts with multiples of these parts available. This is precisely what happens with non standard Colt parts. Delta Elite recoil spring assemblies and so forth.
In the past, I was able to place orders with Brownell's for obscure Colt parts. The orders may take a year or longer to fill, but in time they always were. A few years back Colt changed how these orders are handled. Brownell's can no longer place an order for a small quantity of a part, this makes it impossible for an individual to obtain obscure parts. If Wilson and the like don't sell a replacement part, you don't get it unless Brownell's or Midway stocks it.
Unlike 1911 parts, not a a lot of CZ parts are supplied aftermarket. If we are left to pay scalper prices, I won't be buying anymore CZs. At my local club, there is much discontent amongst the guys who have more expensive CZ competition pistols. Serious competition shooters are now without a reliable source of parts. Very narrow minded business tactics in my opinion.
Without a link there's no proof. Regardless of what someone is listing anything on ebay for has nothing to do with reality. people list anything and everything hoping someone may be stupid enough to pay whatever ridiculous amount they are trying to get. Buyer beware and do your research.
While I'm not at all happy about what Colt is doing to CZ I'm not ditching My CZ's over it. I have PLENTY of spare parts on hand
The lack of Colt parts is really nothing new. Most gun manufacturers don't support older models anymore. Call Smith&Wesson and try to get parts for a pre-lock revolver or a 3rd gen semi auto. Nope not happening.
I didn't post a link because I'm unsure if that would violate a forum policy. A simple search for "CZ 75 lanyard loop" will show the listing. Any "Internet Keyboard Commando" should be computer literate enough to do this.
I happen to be a factory trained S&W armorer. You may not be able to call S&W to order a target hammer or trigger, but you can get parts needed to repair a revolver as they were shipped. Example - the hammer nose (firing pin) is available to repair an existing hammer. A target hammer with nose, to replace or "upgrade" a revolver sold in the 1980s is no longer available. You can get what need, not what you want. S&W does not charge for legitimate replacement parts. They will not however hand them out in quantity for people to resell on eBay. S&W does still service revolvers made prior to the internal lock. CZ doesn't repair sporting rifles sold within the last 5 years.
I also have an adequate supply of parts for my CZ rifles and pistols, but I do not have every part. I have no intention of "ditching" my CZs, but I will also not purchase anymore CZs so long as their is a disconnect between CZ/Colt and consumers. It is ridiculous to wait months for an order of in stock parts only to receive one of the items because the rest had gone out of stock by the time the order was shipped.
I have great fondness for CZ, and Colt. My CZ rifles, and Colt 1911 pistols would be amongst the last firearms sold should I part with any of my collection.
This will be my last reply on this thread. It wasn't my intention to engage a "IKC" in an argument.
