The word is out at this point and NOTHING you say from here on is going to influence CZUB to do anything. They have plenty of military contracts they are fulfilling at this point and they really don't need US. While I'm as unimpressed with the current state of CZ, beating the issue into the ground now is pointless.
Apparently missed the earlier circus in this thread...
But NO -- the point of military/LE contracts is to trade on that for future consumer marketing tactics. Point of military sales isn't profits, it's to cover overhead costs and provide foundation and leverage for future marketing efforts to civilians. Effectively military/LE sales is the meat, and everything is gravy, loads of gravy...
Further, the Colt - CZ merger has already made it clear repeatedly that they believe the US consumer market is their primary sector for growth.
The failure of this merger to meet consumer demands in their primary growth sector is a direct reflection on failed leadership/management/logistics of decision-makers, and heads should roll. Anything beyond a 3-6 month reorganization is completely unacceptable -- but here we are with Colt in the drivers seat again dropping the ball.
Unsure how to exactly frame this, but one would best be served to think of Colt as a Blue Blood/old money in NE US culture, and CZ as nouveau riche/an up and comer. That culture/society is built to reinforce and celebrate the status quo much more than middle America. The fact that Colt had all of those built-in benefits and advantages and still managed to fail speaks volumes as to the tremendous harm their repeatedly proven incompetence can descend upon CZ and the new Colt-CZ Group.
In sum -- criticisms here are valid, and are reflective of the tip of the iceberg/the start of problems that tend to snowball. Hate to admit it, but for anyone who has any understanding as to how major corporations and restructurings and mergers work in this day and age, the writing on the wall is indisputable. And it stinks for us CZ fans...
YMMV.
