Tanfoglio Mossad ID and mag help needed.

Sorry if these are new I questions, but I need help.

I received a Tanfoglio Mossad from my father that I’m trying to find information on, but not finding much.

All the ones I see online have a frame mounted safety, but this one has a slide mounted safety. It does have a lanyard ring. Also, it came with a Mecgar CZ mag that’s a little too long for the grip frame. What mag is correct for it.

The serial number is AB091xx that helps. I’m trying to see how to attach pics.

The mag issue has been sorted. I kept seeing that it needed a CZ75 Compact mag. That’s actually a CZ75 Compact mag in it that’s too long. I messaged back and forth with Greg Cote LLC for a while last night, even well after his closing time. He said there is an early and late model frame, and than mine takes the early model, which are very hard to find. He messaged me at almost 11:00 last night that he was canceling my order because he didn’t think they were what I was looking for, and sent me a link to seller on Gunbroker that had three NOS early frame 13 round mags listed. I’ll have to remember him and his great customer service the next time I need something.

What you actually have there is a Series 88 late transitional Tanfoglio TA90, which, except for the Grips, is almost exactly like my Excam Imported TA90 Compact.
These were also known as "Baby" TA90's.  It should be noted that my Compact TA90 has proven itself very very Accurate and Reliable.
A long time ago, I won a Conceal Carry Match with it.


Series 88 TA90B Compact

My Compact TA90B will use current small frame Witness/Defiant Magazines.
Unfortunately, they seem to be a bit scarce these days with aftermarket vendors.

If you email Tanfoglio with the serial number of your Pistol, they should be able to tell you about it's history.
Many Tanfoglio Pistols were imported to Israel back in the 1980's and early 1990's.
