Looking at the classified section, I see that there is only one page of posts which only date back to the beginning of this month, 4/24. Do you (mods) limit the number of classified posts for some reason?
Do we limit ? No sir, we absolutely do not. When I came onboard the
Classified Ads strung out to 3 or 4 pages. What we found was that either: 1) the items were actually SOLD and the seller was too lazy to come back and change their own ad, or 2) that the seller hadn't even logged onto CZF in 6 or more months ! One seller hadn't logged on in 18 months !!
So having multiple pages of gun ads may look like a "healthy" community, but it is anything but. What it actually turns out to be is a great place for scammers to hide and operate.
For the good of the CZF Community a poll was started so that we could hear from the
ACTIVE CZF users on what THEY wanted THEIR
Classifieds to look like. You can see that poll and all the attending comments here:
https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=120684.0By an overwhelming majority CZF users voted to have ads exist for only 30 days in an
unattended mode. As users like "Stuart" demonstrate, ads can exist for years,
but only if you actively maintain them every 30 days.
As a direct result of the poll, sellers were asked to "Bump" their ads and then the
Classifieds were reduced to those left unattended for more than 30 days. From then on CZF has been left with what you see today... a single page of ads.
To then answer your question... it is
NOT some type of 'strong arm police tactics of the Moderators' that is reducing the number of ads, but rather the basic inactivity of the sellers. In other words, what you are seeing is the
True number of items actively for sale.
I have answered your question. My question to you is.... Which do you prefer: 5 pages of lies, or one page of truth ?
