Extended mag release modification

Want to put an extended mag release on my 97, has anyone tried this? The options I see are
1 get a shadow 2 paddle mag release and grinde off the d part under the paddle and fit to frame
2 get a extended d mag release and dremel the frame to a d shape..
Thoughts or ideas? I think the shadow 2 paddle modification would be easier than modifying the frame just wondering if anyone has experience doing this? And how it turned out 😎

Another option is using a CZ 85 mag release if you can find one. They are the same as the old style 75/97 release but slightly taller.

Yes, I have one on my 97BD.  I called CGW and they made one (took a standard extended mag release and made it round) and refinished it.  I bet they could make it with a paddle option now (I did this pre Shadow 2 variants).
