Please help, issue with my scorpion + timney trigger
« on: May 15, 2024, 09:28:42 AM »
I started running my scorpion suppressed, not sure if this caused the issue but when running it unsuppressed in the past, I never had this issue. I have a v2 timney trigger installed in the scorpion.

The issue is that when the round sits in the chamber, it doesn’t fire when pulling the trigger. I get a light pull when setting off the trigger. The firing pin doesn’t look broken as the problem will fix itself and then go out of operation again.

Any suggestions?

Maybe the striker block on the bolt is dirty. …or is not being activated.  I had a few issues with mine years ago. I run the V2 now and also changed to the nexus striker block.     Just an idea. Also don’t over tighten the safety detent adjustment screw.

You might take a look at the firing pin channel and opening while you are looking at the safety block. Keep them very clean and dry.

Running suppressed will blow a lot more carbon back into the action and can slow or stop the firing pin.

I got to thinking about this a bit more this morning. Make sure the screw that holds the trigger assembly is tight between the plastic housing and the Timney assembly. I locktite mine but I even had mine work loose years ago…. Just a thought.
