My last 8 lb. jug of Sport Pistol is about gone so I've been thinking about switching to Vihtavuori which VV powder would make a good replacement for my non available favorite Sport Pistol ?

Sport Pistol is referred as the poor man's version of VV320.  Funny now I can buy 320 cheaper than SP.

• For your low PF competition rounds, N320 is widely used. Its fastest loading will get you to about PF135 as measured by a chrono. For faster defensive rounds use N330 or N340.

I started using n320 for my 38sp cowboy loads.  Seems more consistent than some of the other powders I've tried when loading light.  Much less unburned powder than some other powders as well.
Some trust in chassis, Some in Horsepower, But we trust in the Lord our God.

If it goes "boom" or "vroom" I'm intersted.

I didn’t look up the source information, but a generally knowledgeable member of my club said that the VV powders were going to be in short supply because Finland (VV) was devoting its resources to self-defense, at the time Russia invaded Ukraine.

I had stocked up mostly on the N320 and N340. I did recently experiment with N310 for a specialty load.

But did VV powders just recently become more available?  Are the arsenals now full of sniper loads for the Finns that they can start shipping more out?  😀
