Sight Picture
« on: May 24, 2024, 06:38:55 PM »
My new ECP is hitting 2-3 inches low at 7-10 yards. What sight picture are other ECP shooters using? I'm used to my  Shadow 2's using a  combat hold.  Thanks!

Interesting, my TCP in 9mm hits POA using a combat sight picture.

What ammo/ bullet weight are you using?  That may influence your POI

Following.
I'm hitting ~2" low at 15yds with several handguns equipped with FO sights.  I lowered the ftont sight on one but didn't help much.  I've concluded that the problem is me and my aging eyesight.  I'm hoping someone posts something useful to me too.

Using Blazer 124.

Mine hits POA with 124 gr blazer and other range ammo.  Try some 147 range loads to see if that helps.  Usually the heavier the bullet the higher the POI.

That said, I had break in issues shooting 147 gr, so if not fully broken in- aka 350-500 rds, you may experience some feeding issues.

Good luck

Tanners owner is spot on with the heavier bullets hitting higher than the light ones, this is something rifle shooters have a hard time swallowing. the heavier bullet may stay in the barrel I little longer and with the barrel rise they impact the target higher.

Only at 100 rounds. Will stick with 115 and 124 to get broke in. Will try the 147's then. Thanks for the suggestion!

So far, 250 rounds. It appears it's me. On the sandbag again and had groups of 2-3 inches, but level with the X at 7 yards. Not terrific but headed in the right direction...
