Based on the educated assumption I’ve made that this is a TZ75 Custom 90, where would be my best chance to find an original 16 round magazine with flat metal base plate for this pistol?
Anyone have an extra?

Once you have it in hand take it to some gun shows in your area. That way you can see what fits.  You can take a guess on Gunbroker but that might be a little bit of a crap shoot. Same for Ebay.

You might try contacting the folks at Numrich gun parts and see what they say.  Also find a few importers and give them a try.  DWJ imports, Mach1 arsenal and the Mosin Crate import a fair number of the older Tanfos and may have or know where to get original magazines.

I found this picture of a custom 90. The writing on the slide is the same as mine. I wanted to find out what it actually said since it was such a poor picture. So it does say, Miami Florida. But it does not have any writing on the slide below. The only writing on the opposite side is the serial number stamped on both the slide and frame. I sure wished we could be more sure of what model it is. Still no idea about the serial number?

I’m not 100% sure but I believe that’s an image of the actual Custom 90 I owned at one time.

This magazine may work if you swap the polymer base plate with a metal one. Just thought I’d mention it. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1042707025

Might call/contact Greg Cote, LLC.  Their website often has text in the descriptions that will tell you when a magazine for one pistol fits other pistols.

Lots of good info and good prices there.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Ok. I ordered it. So where do I find a single metal base plate?

Oh my this is going to be fun!! Just arrived.

No markings on frame that I can tell.

Oh my. This pistol was entered into police evidence 23 years ago! [emoji33]

After a good scrubbing with a gun wool pad and oil.

Still no signs of markings on frame.

Bore cleaned up ok. Still some rough spots.
The locking recesses and lugs on the barrel/ frame look fine and lockup on the gun is very tight.
Still waiting on magazines to arrive so I test fired five rounds by single loading. My eight year old loves it!

That should clean up nicely! I've seen much worse than that one, restored.  The bore looks decent, now that you've cleaned it up.
Good Luck with it!  :)

Just a note, if you are dropping rounds into the Chamber and letting the Slide Drop, that forces the Extractor over the Case Rim.
That can cause undue wear or even break an Extractor. As long as Extraction was occurring, all is good!  :)

Cleaned up nice. Looks like that gun sat in evidence for a long time.

Entered into evidence 23 years ago per the tape. Tape didn’t want to come off easy.

Understood. I was aware of potential problem with extractor. I tried placing round half way in chamber and let slide push it on in. Still not ideal but it shot and ejected.
