CZ-USA again
« on: December 02, 2024, 06:22:12 PM »
I am wondering if anyone knows how often CZ-USA receives parts shipments from Czech Republic. The main CZ-USA webstore lists parts but the parts I want/need have been "out of stock" for months. CZ Custom and Cajun Gunworks also lists some of these parts, but have been "out of stock" for months as well. It is frustrating to say the least to need OEM parts and being unable to get them. Does anyone know CZUB's shipping schedule or is CZ-USA the gatekeeper that need to actually order things from CZUB?

I guess it depends in what you are looking for.  I have used https://www.cz-parts.com/ when I could not get what I wanted in the US. Shipping takes a little longer and some have reported an issue with customs on large orders but worth a look.

This parts scarcity is one of the “enhancements”  that follows CZUB putting Colt Management ( “The Kings of Bankruptcy”) in charge of running CZ-USA!!

Hopefully, with Trump in office and the Republicans running Congress, the ATF will get knocked down a few notches so they won’t pursue actions against the gun community, otherwise, you’d need permits from US Customs and the fbi to import ANY firearms or parts to the USA.

Oh, please. Your singular thoughts on the subject are well-known. Please, give it up.

The parts issue couldn't possibly be caused by the largest war in Europe since 1940. There cannot be any other reason or mitigating circumstance.

I’ve had good luck Googling.  Recently I ordered a part from an Italian company, X-Ray Parts.  I received it four days later with one day delayed from Customs.  With the international shipping and exchange, the price probably is very close as a domestic source.

I've seen the recommendation to call rather than expect a response to an email a number of times on this board.  I have no reason to doubt that a phone would get my query answered.

My P10F-OR purchase last summer was my first CZ based on a friend's recommendation and the deep discounts. Looking back, I wish I'd researched their product support, parts availability & pricing, and aftermarket and online support more thoroughly beforehand.  I just assumed I'd find it all similar to my experiences with Ruger & Glock.  That's on me.

Not that long ago it wasn't like this.  That's the frustrating part.

CZ certainly has their issues at this point but I've had sorry experiences with S&W, Ruger, Sig and recently Beretta. I can't heap praise on anyone for stellar service these days. If you're lucky enough to get an issue resolved quickly and painlessly from anyone you're lucky period.
And by the way if you've seen the recommendation to call and you have no doubt a call would get you an answer then WHY have you not called??

I’ve been trying to decide whether I should put any more money into it.

A few weeks ago when I emailed them I figured I’d try a shorter front sight. Then i figured I’d probably wind up with a green dot anyway and thought about getting an adaptor plate instead.

I’ll add Walther to that list.  The slide froze up on my Walther 22.  I sent it to Walter for repair.  It took ten weeks for the US office to get a new slide.
