Match Target trigger pull weight
« on: February 06, 2025, 11:52:33 AM »
A couple of years ago I acquired a like new CZ 457 Varmint Match Target 22 that the previous owner had lightened the trigger to 1lb. and 4 oz. I'm wanting to participate in a 22 caliber league at my local indoor range that requires a trigger pull of no less than 2.5 lb. I have turned the adjustment screw as far as I can but can't get the pull above 1 lb. 8 oz. I also tried to adjust the sear engagement Any help will be appreciated.

Did the prev owner tell you what he did to get that low ?  Maybe he replaced the spring/sleeve with a Yodave kit?  You can experiment with 'heavier' springs at a hdwe store to find one?

Yes he did install the Yodave spring but he has no idea what he did with the CZ spring. I've been looking for a similar spring with no luck.

Might try a Jard 1062.  Lighter than stock, but should be heavier than a yodave.
