I handled a P-09 C Nocturne at one my LGSs today. While trigger was on par with a P-01 (and certainly much better than my HK P30sk, which has a horrible DA pull), (to me) the Nocturne just didn’t FEEL as good in the hand as a metal frame CZ75. Though you can futz with the interchangeable back strap grips (but no grip panels), it just doesn’t have the grip profile / ergonomics that are universally loved on the CZ75 and its clones by the majority of people who try them.
Obviously parts are not interchangeable between the CZ75 and the P-07 / 09, but for some stupid reason, the P-07 / P-09 aren’t fully compatible with the mags the CZ75 / clones have used for decades. So if you’ve accumulated a bunch of CZ75 mags over the years, they may not quite fit right or function in the P-07 / 09.
The only advantage the Nocturne has over the CZ75 is that it’s OR. But as far as I’m concerned, that’s not enough to give it the nod over the CZ75, even if I have to go to the time and expense to get it milled for an optic. YMMV…
