This is too hilarious!  How many people complained about the Compact not having a firing pin block and it was too dangerous to carry?  Then a few people went way out of their way including doing damage to their Shadow 2 Compacts, to show even if dropped the pistol wouldn't fire as long as the OEM firing pin and spring was in place, but that still wasn't good enough.  So the CZ factory people, much to their credit, listened to these complaints and they out a CZ Carry model with a firing pin block.  Now people are complaining about this and talk about having the firing pin block removed.  It's like listening to a bunch of old women at a Bridge Party!  It never ends!!

And I wonder if any commercial enterprise would really remove a factory safety feature like a firing pin block in this day and age.  That would be akin to removing seat belts from a car per a customer request.  A lot of things have changed in the realm of liability concerns.  I also wouldn't want to be the person that drops his altered Shadow 2 Carry and has it go off and kill or injure someone after the owner removed the firing pin block.  I wouldn't want to be THAT guy.

Actually CGW does make the parts to remove the pin block for competition use if that's what someone wants. Many have converted standard da/sa CZ's to single action operation and removed the FPB in the process. What exactly would be the difference if someone was hurt or killed by a gun that had it's FPB removed VS say a series 70 1911 or regular Shadow 2 that never had a FPB?? Exactly no difference. The penalty will be the same. The main complaint I have with the gun since they finally hit the shelves is the trigger in ZERO percent different/better than a standard CZ B/BD model that sells for half the cost. They dropped the ball in that area.
