Bold sights for PCR!
« on: April 22, 2025, 07:36:03 PM »
Have been on the search for bold sights for my PCR.  I have a set from CZC, that as my eyes age, don’t work well, especially in doors.  I’ve been frustrated with limited options for the PCR that covers the “shelf”

Low and behold, I found CGW has these

I’ll be getting these installed soon and will report back

I hope those sights work better than the Night Fisions' that I have on my B6's.   I have had 3 front sights needing replacement after a practice session, and I must say that they (Night Fision) do make good on their warranty.

https://www.nightfision.com/product/night-fision-tritium-night-sights-for-sar-usa in case you are wondering which ones I am running.

On my PCR, I have a set of sights from XS.....and I can not be happier with their products.  I have multiple sights from them on multiple tools, with only one ever needing replacement (and that was 100% my fault, admitted to it, and they still backed their product).

These work well and definitely POP in a major way.  And they are less expensive.

I got the sights put on my PCR and am very happy.  I’ll post pics once the site’s maintenance window is over.

Bottom line, very pleased.  Pics coming soon

They look, for lack of  better words, bolder and more prominent. Is that your findings, or is it mainly the tritium and color of the dots? They look good.

They are an improvement over the stock and czc sights it previously had.  Bolder front sight for sure.  Perhaps not as bold as other offerings, but those don’t come made specifically for the PCR ( rear sight that is)

It shot POA/ POI for my reloads @~10+ yards.

I’m happy with this set up and because of it expect to shoot it more

Love that 2nd picture: sights all kinda of fuzzy ;D. Shooting with bifocals I can only pick one focal point. Got tired of crispy clear sights/ fuzzy target. Love my PCR put had to switch to RDS so I could see the target AND the sight clearly.

The new sights look great!

But your gun is too clean.

And that is a good practice!

I've had a lot of laughs poking fun at compulsive gun cleaners, but it is a good practice.  To be honest, I have been really consistent about cleaning the bores of my pistols when I get home from the range since seeing the light pitting in my P-09 barrel.  And I'm better about cleaning the frame parts.  Don't tell anyone.
