Grip Screws
« on: March 14, 2002, 05:35:30 AM »
Hello All,

I love my CZ75B and it is the best looking pistol I have, but I have one problem that I don't like. I HATE the phillips head grip screws. Does CZ, or anyone else have slotted head screws for the grips? Are they standard metric scres that are available and maybe shorten the threads? Thanks for the help.

I ordred my slotted grip screws for my CZ75B .40 from Hogue at www.getgrip.com. They look nice with my rubber wrap-around grips. I think they are 4mm 50 pitch, but I could only find them in 70 pitch. I really wanted pan-head Allens but I couldn't find them. Good Luck.

Brownell's is cheaper on the shipping than getgrip.com. Just pay for small parts shipping from brownell. Also getagrip lists 2 screws in the package, the ones I got from brownells came with 4 screws in the package.  Mark

Hey Mark,
There's a reason Brownell's screws are cheaper and come with four in a pack...They suck... I put Brownell's in my gun after I changed grips the first time, and when I went to put on my Hogue grips, the head of the screw busted off. Needless to say, I didn't put the extra pair of Brownell's into my pistol (CZ75B .40). I got new screws from Hogue, and they work and look awesome. If I were you Abwehr, I wouldn't put Brownell's in my gun.
