Does anybody know what surface treatment they have done on the CZ 75 IPSC ?

Slide is blued and frame has  silver/gray polymer finish. Not very pretty but you know it's just a tool...

So many surface treatment are possible(acid treatment: hardens the surface, thermal hardening: various, etc.)but are but speculation, no info. has ever been given by CZ.

I know but im planning to make som modifications to the grip area of the frame and after milling i want to be able to make the gun the same again.

Polymer means some kind of paint?

Various types of plastics custom blended to obtain usage needed ex:P.V.C.:poly-vinyl chloride

These can be applied in a solvent base: commonly knowned as paint, or by products reacting with each other: epoxy. Some applications of epoxy: electrifying with an opposite charge an object and spraying(pushed by air)with contrary charged epoxy: they do this in super-markets were people(public) are just strolling along next to the guy spraying, big advantage: no mist, dust or what ever. They can open up section minutes afterwards.

This is probably what CZ is doing with a Teflon based polymer(makes actions even slicker)and is very good in harsh enviroments.
