www.Brownells.com

Catalogue #54; Page 100

#153-503-100
CPMI High-Capacity Mag Pad
Machined Aluminum
EAA Witness .38 Super / .45 ACP
+3 (38 Super) or +2 (.45 ACP)
3E10A30
$14.60 each

also, for the little-guns

#153-517-100
CPMI High-Capacity Mag Pad
Machined Aluminum
EAA Witness 9mm / .40
+3 (9mm) or +2 (.40)
3E09A00
$12.70 each
Note: I installed one of these on a Factory CZ (9mm) 15 round mag, and it took it up to 17, not 18.

Also, as of 4-29-2002 you can check auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com and find facotry CZ and EAA 9mm high-caps selling for $24.99 to $26.99 each. That's 1/2 the ususal price.

Final (legal note) -- It is illegal to install these on mags that have a current capacity of 10 or fewer rounds. It is also impossible, because those mags do not take the same base-plates as pre-ban models. I only mention it to prevent some idiot from posting "that's not legal...I'm telling"

Beware those "Factory" mags, I now own (11) USA-brand POS mags. The guy ripped me off.

Guys,
Please be aware:  USA, etal, are crap mags.  Spent the extra coupla' bucks and buy factory/Mac-Gar.  You won't be disappointed...

I tried to buy factory mags, but "REDDOGXX" on auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com is selling USA mags claiming that they are factory.

BEWARE!!!

FYI: If you remove two dents inside the bottom of mag, capacity increase is actually +5 ( total 20 rnds ). All you need is some drilling and hacksawing.

I took my Factory CZ-75 15 round mag, and cut slots in the bottom where the indentations were. I used a cutting wheel on my Dremel tool, with the Dremel tool mounted upside down in a Dremel drill press, and holding the mag in my hands. Please use eye protection when using a cutting wheel on a Dremel (this is not an optional request! The wheels shatter and go flying at about Mach 4!)

That added 1 extra round (17->18) .  I then cut the follower somewhat, and that increased the capacity by another 1 (18->19). All capacities are measured in the magazine only; not including a chambered round.

I'm confident that I could cut the follower more for 1 more (19->20). I stopped because the gun will no longer slide lock on an empty magazine. I plan to change the mag spring, and retest. This mag has a WOLFF +10% spring, but it has been left loaded to capacity minus 1 for more than a year, and the spring looks weak.

Question: Have you tried cutting out the indentations at the top of the magazine?

I doubt that I will cut up any more Factory CZ magazines, but I might try some of the $12.99 USA brand POSes.
