Has any one read the book "Efective handgun defense" written by Frank W James? I am reading it and wondered what you thought.

Never read it, but I don't think it worked too well for Jesse!

I finished the book a while back and it was OK reading it is basicaly a book for Newbs it seemed like to me and it covered calibers, Holsters, firearms and at the end it got into mind set and attitude which is the closest it got to instruction. However after reading the guys credintials I have to respect that he wrote the book the way he did and I will say it is informative and worth having in your library. It is very easy fast reading and a good one to set your youngen down with to have them read. He seemed to know a lot of the famous shooters fairly well and drew a lot from them. I am not sure how but it was good reading.

The most effective handgun defense is beinbg able to hit the target every time. Then lets go from there.
Everyones tactics are different but if you can't hit what your aiming at.......
