Any easy (cheap) mods before shooting competition?
« on: April 26, 2004, 08:45:04 AM »
In another post I mentioned I'm going to start in a USPSA league next winter (I know.....a long ways off), but I thought I might get a jump on getting my 75B ready now and getting used to the setup.

Can anyone recommend anything that would help me get all I can out of the gun?  Sights, etc.?  I'm talking maybe a couple hundred on the gun, nothing too crazy.

Thanks - Tom

P.S.  2 years on the board and I'm finally registered!  I should be able to add about 100 to the post count.  ;)

Short of a trigger job, and a holster and mag holder that really work for you, you should be fine with the gun as is.

Its really more the singer than the song... (Or, put another way, the trumpet can be great, but a great trumpeter can make a cheap horn sound good.)

Practice.  Practice.  Practice.

The best thing I did for myself was a trigger job and changing the sights to LPA's adjustable sight set with the super tall front blade.

#1 trigger job
#2 better sights
#3 original capacity magazines if the class you shoot in allows them
