I've recently had Big Dot sights installed on the P-01 (love the sights, btw) and wonder if anybody has any experience with the sights interfering with any of the holsters, or vice-vesa?
TIA, Vern

I ordered a IWB from Tucker Gun Leather for my P01. It's a leather lined Kydex holster.
The name of the holster is "Silent Thunder" It is adjustable for rotation.
it's suppose to ship on the 15 of Dec. I'm looking forward to getting it.
I'll give a up-date when it get it and a pic as well if I can.

Just got a Blackhawk Serpa holster for my Smith and Wesson M&P 40 (full size) and the P-01 works well with it.  The take down lever hangs slightly when you first put it in the holster but still goes in after the initial hang and the end of barrel is about an 1 inch away from being flush with bottom of the holster.  In comparison with my M&P 40 the end of barrel is flush with bottom opening of the holster.

The P-01 clicks in with the condition 2 lever and is secure and releases as if the holster was molded for it.

The Bianchi 7001 is a good holster. I use one similiar (only with the duty-belt attachment) for my dept. issued SIG 226 when I'm at the range. As with most holsters, one sized for the Glock 19 or Sig 226/229 should work, but I can't guarantee it will. I can definitely recommend the M5X. stdlrf11

Great holster chart & advice, stdlrf11. I wanted a more secure synthetic beltloop model with thumbstrap. Based on the recommendations found here, I ordered the Bianchi 7001 in size 11. It fits the P-01 like a dream. Thanks ;)

Hm, i'll have to double check at the gun shop here, i just tried my P-01 with the suggested G19 as well as the M&P 9/40 Serpas, it was super tight in the G19's mold around the rails, would have to file/dremel the plastic a bit to make it fit but retention was great. however, the P-01 went right into the M&P holster, but the inletting for the Smith's HUGE (wide) trigger guard made it easy to jerk the pistol right out of the holster with hardly any effort, defeating the purpose of getting the Blackhawk. I think it was for the compact model, and not "level 2" don't know for sure if it would be any different in the fullsize mold, but i'll try again tomorrow. Turns out i got the Glock model, because i KNOW it would work, just with a little red-neck "modificashun" on another note, i found a Fobus paddle in the used holster bin, that fits the p01 perfectly... for 14 bucks.  stay tuned for more info on the full-sized M&P level 2 Serpa....

of all these choices, which OWB do you guys thinks gets the gun to ride the highest? I have a tall build with somewhat shorter legs so my shirts tend to sit a little high on my waist if i dont have tall sized shirts. I got the fobus paddle and couldn't find a single shirt of mine to full conceal it, so I returned it.  I just want something with a forward cant and rides high. Thanks guys.

(if nothing, i guess I will try a IWB)

I think the fobus holsters are great for the range, but they sit too low for concealed carry. I like mine to ride high and close to my body. The only time i think its ok for my gun to ride low is when using an iwb holster

i love my crossbreed supertuck. Note that iwb carry isnt the most comfortable way to carry, and the cz kinda has a thick grip, but compared to other IWB holsters the crossbreed is top notch. i dont have any experinece OWB with my p-01. Am using a highnoon skin gaurd holster for my ruger sr9 that actually also fits my kimber 1911. so far im pleased with it. rides high. not tight to my body, but am using a walmart belt too. that might improve with a diff belt. i think its worth looking into, but you cant go wrong with a supertuck. especially since summer is around the corner. carried mine all year with shorts and a t-shirt. no one ever noticed

yes, im using a kirkpatrick  leather crossdraw holster for my 1911. Its very comfy if your seated alot, or driving all the time.  Its the same as the texas strong side holster, only set up for opposite side. Its very nice, and you can tell the quality of the holster is excellent. Is one of the nicest holsters I'v ever had. Have one of their belts too, and its prett good.
