As I type this, I can hear my 7 year old son in his room, Boston cranked up in his CD player, playing Combat Mission:Barbarossa to Berlin. That's mah boy...

And where did he get the interest in CMBB?

Got the game from a former co-worker some time ago, and he used to sit on my lap watching me play. He learned his letters and numbers from German tanks and Russian tanks, ammo counts, distances, etc. One day he asked to play it - didn't see that game again! Just recently my Captain gave him a copy of the first one Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord. I got my game back, and he is happy as a clam. Now I need CM: Afrika Corps... Great games.

I've been a long time player of CMBO, and last year I bought the special edition from Battlefront that included CMBB & CMAK.  If you ever want to play an e-mail game, let me know.  Even though it's been around awhile, I still consider the Combat Mission series to be the most authentic WW2 game simulation out there.

Nothing wrong with "Country" well, not real Country any way. Some of this new stuff...what can i say? My sons favorite games are the Call of Duty series. I myself have been cought up in Gears of War lately. I got up at 2am. one night because the t.v was on. I caught him watching "Sands of Iwo Jima" with John Wayne. So i left him to it. I have 2 friends that were in WW2. One is a Marine that served in WW2,Korea an Vietnam. The other a Tank commander that was in the battle of the dulge. He pumps them with questions all the time.
