Hi guys, In the European CZ site there is a similar pistol,

http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/79-pistols-cz/PC/CZ_75_COMPACT_40.aspx

It looks like its exactly the same thing but  called differently and this seems to be all steel. Anyone knows if they are actually 2 different guns ? Or maybe its due to different markets ?

The P-01 also seems to be called differently , but it is the same specs.

Longshanks,
The CZ P-06 uses an aluminum alloy frame and is lighter than the Compact 40 which uses a steel frame. Notice also that the Compact 40 has an ambidextrous manual safety instead of a decocker like the P-06. So they would appear to be two different guns. On the European site, I notice that they are offering a CZ P-02 in 9mm with the Omega trigger. Have you any experience with the Omega trigger?

Great report and pics xl_target. My next handgun purchase is most likely gonna be in .40S&W (a caliber I don't have), and I really like my PCR so I've been eyeballing the P-06. Reports like yours are very helpful.
My thoughts exactly! Thanks for the excellent report!

Thank You Volz fan. I'm glad it was helpful to you.

Long term report:
Some people on this forum have reported issues with this gun but I, luckily, have never had any.

I have fired several thousand rounds through this gun now and I can honestly say that of all my handguns, the P-06 is the only one that has never had a single failure.

Many different people have fired this gun, (some young kids and some women) and it has never had an issue. I would say it is not very sensitive to limp wristing.  I have fired with reduced hand-loads and with factory ammo. I have fired it in the heat of summer and after it has sat in my trunk all day during the super-chill of a Minnesota winter and it just keeps chugging along.

Truly remarkable! Thank You CZ.

I miss my P06.  It was by far the best out of the box range gun I've shot.  I sold it to get a RAMI for edc and as soon as I have the extra cash I'll be getting another.

What is a decent price for a LNIB P-06?
